30 Day Challenge: Day 9

Today's challenge: Someone you love

This challenge really wasn't a challenge ... I knew who I was going to photograph, and when. But it became a challenge when I decided how I was going to photograph my subject.

I read about light painting in a blog earlier in the day and decided that was what I wanted to do. Light painting is having a slow shutter speed in a dark lit area and using another light source, like a flash light, and "paint" where you want the camera to catch the light.

Here's the photo:

I tried to hand hold the camera with my left hand, while I painted with my right... didn't work out so good. Don't ask me why I didn't use my tripod, call it laziness. But being hand held, I was pretty impressed. The black and white adds to the feel of the photo as well. My son was sleeping so peaceful, this is the only time he is in one place longer than two minutes! LOL

Another pulled back photo of him and his PillowPet, he loves that thing.

I love this kid so much, I can't imagine life without this stubborn, strong-willed, sweet little boy. I love you, buddy and I always will.
