Patriotic Love | OpLove: Predeployment | Fayetteville, N.C. Photographer

I had the opportunity to photograph this adorable family once more and boy! How awesome did these pictures come out?! The American Flags still out for Glory Days in front of the Airborne and Special Operations Museum was the perfect location for these two! Momma is set to deploy and she wanted some adorable shots of her adorable son ... I think we achieved that. What do you think? ;-)

Sweet Reunion | OpLove: Homecoming | Fort Bragg, N.C. Photographer

I haven't shot a homecoming in a while, and this one was just the sweetest. It was so hot and muggy, and the plane got delayed and it was just a hot mess ... but this lil' one hung in there, mom hung in there, and dad was just tickled to see his girls! I love homecomings!

One Love Minis Update | Charity | Fayetteville, N.C. Photographer

As mentioned in an earlier post, I teamed up with two other photographers to offer a mini-session special at the beach in hopes of raising money to help those who fell victim of the Moore, Oklahoma tornadoes back in May. Many families were affected and lost everything. Thanks to my good friend, Kristen Huntley, I got to be part of her brilliant idea (along with Jenifer Fennell) — give free sessions at the beach in return for a donation of at least a $50 gift card donation to Walmart, Lowes, Target ... ect. I was overwhelmed with the amount of support we received. We raised $475 worth of gift cards and were able to help out four families in Oklahoma. Thank you to those who participated and those who donated just to donate! You can see the original post, HERE.

This post is an update on three of those families that received our gift cards. Still waiting to hear about the fourth!

First, a long-time friend who currently lives in Moore and thankfully wasn't affected by the tornadoes, promised to hand the gift cards out and here's what he had to say:

"Jason and Mady just returned from their wedding at Disneyland and had their reception tonight. We were able to catch them and hand off their card and gift cards. They were tickled to death."

Jason and Mady were interviewed by the media and you can see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QOGcj8Reuw

Jason and Mady lost EVERYTHING, but we determined to keep their wedding date and move on from the disaster. Please listen to their story, they are incredibly strong!

Next was a young family:

"Joey and Johnna (and of course, baby Liam) also lost their home. Joey and Liam rode it out in a shelter in their garage. They crawled out to find a concrete slab. They have become awesome friends of ours here and we thank you for allowing us to pass off your card and gift cards to them."

Then, another young couple:

"We were happy to share your gifts with our neighbor's son Tod and his wife Logan who lost their home in the May 20th tornado. Logan was also in a vehicle accident and totaled her car. It's been a rough time for this young couple."

So, again, we helped out some wonderful people who were given some hard times. Thank you to everyone who participated and thank you to my friend, Dustin and his wife Allison, for personally handing out the gift cards. I cannot wait to give another update on the final family we were able to help.

I teamed up with two other photographers to offer a mini-session special at the beach in hopes of raising money to help those who fell victim of the Moore, Oklahoma tornadoes back in May. Fort Fisher was gorgeous and we couldn't have asked for a better day to shoot! Besides the wind ... it was gorgeous out there!

There were lots of smiles and playing in the sand in water! Just awesome!

Stay tuned for a follow up on the families that we were able to help out! Thank you again!

Sibling Love | Children | Fayetteville, N.C. Photographer

Okay, anything that I've heard about sibling rivalry can be just thrown out the window with this brother and sister! They were just the sweetest to each other ... they may have been putting on a front for me, but I mean, come on! How cute are these pictures?! Gah!

The below picture was taken at the end of the session. Just a boy being a boy. I dig it!

All I had to say was just love each other! And they gave the biggest hugs to one another. <3 it!

I also wanna share some before and afters since I haven't done that in a while. I'm thinking about offering some editing services or teach editing ... what do you guys think?

I really dig it when I can get creative with a session. This little girl was just on it with the poses and willing to swirl around enough times for me to snap this image. Gosh. I just love it!

This image is what custom photography is all about. Yes, the original was a cute shot, but I took the time to brighten up those adorable faces and bring out the true beauty of the photo and the children in it. I just love this image. I'm telling you, sibling rivalry? Yeah right!

Tattooed Momma | Maternity | Fayetteville, N.C. Photographer

A good friend of mine is due 4 days after me! And sadly, she has moved to California due to the military. Her son and my son are awesome friends and I wish our babies could have been the best of best friends as well. BUT, alas, the Army has other plans. LOL

Before she left though, I MADE her get maternity pictures with me. LOL, yes, I said made. Thankfully, she was more than willing and was just super adorable! She is one bad-ass momma! ;-)
