Bring on 2017! | El Paso, TX Photographer

As 2016 is coming to a quick end, I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of my wonderful clients and models for choosing me as your photographer. Y'all are so awesome and it means the world to me that out of the many photographers around the area, you chose me.

I had only two homecomings this year, but each was super special - a little girl got to welcome her daddy and a wife got to welcome her hubby back from the last military homecoming of his career.  I helped two families announce their pregnancies and photographed two beautiful Southern Charm weddings. I had a one year old's cake smash with her puppy and a first spaghetti smash!  Three seniors chose me as their photographer and seven families picked me to photograph their going families. Two couples smooched in front of my camera for redeployment pics and engagement pics. Nine models graced my camera's lens helping me get super creative and I thank you for that! Not to mention the countless pups and kitties that I photographed from the shelters and Old Glory's tour through El Paso.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart and even with the mid-year move, y'all supported me so much. It's more than I could ever ask for. I'm incredibly lucky and I CANNOT wait to see what 2017 has in store for Sharilyn Wells Photography! Happy New Year!

Never too Old for Christmas Spirit | Family | El Paso, TX Photographer

I had the pleasure with working with the family for big sister's senior pictures. You may remember her HERE and HERE! But this time, I got to have fun with the entire family. And look how good they look! Their outfits were perfect and I mean, come on! Model family for sure!

I asked for little brother to tell a joke ... the joke was silly, but what made everyone laugh was dad. I wanted to capture a candid laugh with all of them but Dad kept looking at me. Mom said, "you're not supposed to look!" And he said, "Oh!" and it worked perfectly, everyone giggled. <3

I love working with older children because they know what they want and what works for them. They know their "best side" and they know how to smile and show their love without me having to remind them that I do tickle kids who don't smile. ;)

I stinking love this close up of the family! <3

Thank you for choosing me again to capture your holiday pictures!  I Love when clients come back time and time again. It really builds a relationship and makes taking beautiful portraits so much easier! <3 Thank you! It's not too late to take advantage of my holiday minis! They'll just be New Year Minis! ;) Book today!

Familiar Faces +1 | Family | El Paso, TX Photographer

When I got the Instagram message from this momma asking about a photo session, I got a tad sad. Why? Because she was a client in North Carolina and I figured she hadn't gotten the message that I moved ... But NOPE! They live about an hour from El Paso and she wanted to travel TOO me! What?! I was so excited to hear this and couldn't wait to see the (then family of three) family of four! Since I photographed them last, the little boy was just barely one year old!

And now look at him! Not only is he taller, but he's a big brother now!

I am so lucky to have such loyal clients that will find me over the years of them moving and the move I made as well as driving an hour to have their pictures taken! This family is so sweet and so happy to hear how well they're doing. I hope to see them again real soon!

Silly Faces & Smooches | Family | El Paso, TX Photographer

This little boy was the cutest guy ever. He did not want to have pictures ... he just wanted to have fun. And I dug every moment of our session with him and his family.

LOL - he just wanted to give his sister a kiss... haha! <3 love everything about these images!

What?! Now mom and dad are kissing?!

He was a mover, he had me work for some of these, but both he and his sister did awesome.

Thank you for choosing me as your photographer! You know we ALWAYS have to have a tickle session! hahah! <3

When it Rains in the Desert | Family | El Paso, TX Photographer

Let me tell you about this family ... We planned for this day for a while. She needed updated family photos for her holiday cards. We planned out location after some deliberation, a date, and time. All was ready to go ... then the weather forecast came out.

Rain. Yes, you read that right. Rain. In the desert. We decided to hang onto hope that it's the desert ... it doesn't rain in the desert!

Well ... it was looking good. Then we both pulled up to the park. Sprinkles. Yeah ... perfect timing right? We could also hear the rumbling of thunder in the background. We continued to photograph because ... the desert threatens rain a lot!

Can you tell it's sprinkling? I can't either! haha! These kids were champs! They hung in there and look at how stinking cute they are?!

This is the last shot I got when the clouds opened up ... I mean, not like North Carolina rain ... but it was messing up hair and my camera could have been damaged ... LOL. But wow! What troopers!

Come to find out ... this was a massive storm wave that hit the city. Some parts got hail ... like so much that it looked like snow on the ground! We were at a tornado warning and lightening was pretty bad. Did I see any of this? nope. LOL Not one single piece of hail hit us or our cars luckily! Like people got massive damage to their vehicles! I must have outran it on the way home and she didn't see anything either. It was crazy! We finished just in the nick of time.

First session of my holiday minis complete! Still have room to book more! Book today!

Sand & Sun Senior | Senior | New Mexico Photographer

Remember this gorgeous Senior from THIS post? In that post, I talked about her mom wanting a green backdrop and that they loved the beach. They're from NC - just like me! So, I was feeling what they were feeling. Even though the desert is gorgeous, sometimes you just miss "home's" scenery! Well, for the green, we went to the El Paso Rose Garden. For the beach sand feel? White Sands National Park of course! <3

Uh - I mea, HELLO?! How freaking amazing is this scenery?! She's stunning to begin with and then add the setting sun, her dresses, her personality .... gah! I was in heaven!

There weren't very many clouds in the sky when we were out there ... so the sky just glowed! As the sun was behind the mountains, the tiny clouds that did exist just made a beautiful backdrop for us!

She saw the behind the camera images of these and she exclaimed, "I look so grown!" Momma agreed. I hope that's a good thing ... I mean I know 16/17 isn't "grown" per say, but this young woman will definitely go places with her glowing character!

Book your El Paso Senior Session today! I also travel! ;)
