Tying the Knot | Engagement | Fayetteville NC Photographer

Guess who's tying the knot?!

These two. <3 Sigh. The love that they have for one another simple shines through when they're together. I'm so super happy they chose me to be not only their engagement photographer but their wedding photographer too! I cannot wait till next Spring to photograph their gorgeous wedding!

Towards the very end they wanted to add his truck into the mix. I of course obliged! <3

Absolutely love when I get a couple that goes along with my ideas ... Here I am in a bush, sneaking a shot of them by his truck. <3 LOL And I didn't even have to tell them what to do!

Saint Patrick's Day Baby | First 48 | Fort Bragg, NC Photographer

Okay, so this blog is WAY over due, but it's up here now! lol Baby "P" was born on Saint Patirck's Day. How awesome is that? I'm Irish, my mom's b-day is the 17th of March, I love clovers, and this family is Irish! How perfect is this?!

This awesome family weren't my clients in the beginning. You see, when you're a part of a fantastic community of photographers, we help each other out. My friend had a "Fresh 48" scheduled with them. Well, so happens there was a hiccup and baby came early and my friend was still outta town. SHARI TO THE RESCUE! No, I mean, it wasn't that dramatic. But I did leap at the opportunity to do my version, FIRST 48 with them! And so glad my friend called me. This family was awesome.

In many ways, they reminded me of my second child and how brother (even though much older than theirs) reacted to baby brother. How mom and dad handled a little meltdown. How big brother was more interested in gadgets around the hospital room. I mean. It was perfect.

Big brother also got a fantastic present after meeting his little brother... a Transformer!!! He was super excited to play with it ... I mean, baby brother is fun and all, but all he does is sleep. ;)

First 48's are super awesome and are treated sorta like military homecomings because they're unpredictable. I mean, this session was a perfect example for that. An early date and another photographer's clients became mine! LOL

When I saw the clover outfit ... I KNEW we had to get that precious little bundle of joy in that outfit! I mean come on! How cute is he?!?!

I do birth photography and First 48 sessions. It's all up to you.

Birth Photography - Starts at $525- Includes me being on call for the birth up to 2 weeks before due date and 2 weeks after, coverage of the entire birthing process, a slide show put to music, and 20 - 30 edited portraits on a CD/thumbdrive and an online gallery for viewing/ordering for 14 days. If outside the Fayetteville/Fort Bragg area a travel fee will be added to the session fee. Albums and other products can be added to package. The First 48 - This session can be added to your birth package ($85 extra) or can be bought alone ($155). This includes me coming to the hospital or your home to capture the first moments of baby's life. It can be of you guys in the hospital meeting family, learning to nurse, cuddling with baby, meeting family; it can be taking baby home, meeting the pets, showing off the nursery, special moments between siblings; or it can be a relaxed family shoot in your home as you all adjust to the first 48 hours of baby's life. Includes up to an hour in front of camera, 20 - 30 edited portraits for online viewing/ordering for 14 days. If outside the Fayetteville/Fort Bragg area a travel fee will be added to the session fee. These pictures can be added to album and other products that are bought with birth session.
If your interested in booking any of these sessions, please call or email and let's set up a time to meet and chat! Birth photography is such a personal session that we need to make sure we are a good match and that we are comfortable with each other. Same for First 48 sessions. Even though this session was spur of the moment, I would like to get to know you prior to walking in at the hospital or your home. I want to know if the nursery is made up yet. I want to know names if you've picked them. If you're adding your pets, I want to meet them! You know, I wanna treat you to your favorite drink at a coffee shop and sit and gossip like two old friends! True Southern Style!

Colorful Puppy Love | Pet | Fayetteville, NC Photographer

This session was actually taken last year, but I wanted to reshare it because it's freaking adorable. I mean, y'all know the soft spot I have for rescues.  Shelter pups make the best pets and I was so happy to hear that this passionate and loving client wanted to do her holiday cards with her rescue fur baby. <3 Makes your heart just all warm and cozy right?!

Just FYI, I do have a holiday mini session special called "Waggin' Tails" going on this year! Email to inquire more information! Let the whole family join in on the holiday fun this year!

Country Sunset Dreams | Family | Fayetteville, NC Photographer

You know, many of my homecoming clients become some of my best clients ... and friends. This sweet family is one of those couples. I mean, I spend so much intimate time with them as they prepare to welcome home their loved one. I'm there when they're freaking out. I'm there when they're jumping up and down with excitement. I'm there to comfort them when they can't find their hero in formation. And I'm there to share in the joy of a safe return. But most of all, I love watching their families grow and reconnect. So when a homecoming client asks for a family session before PCSing (a bittersweet part of my job working so close to the military), I of course jump at the opportunity!

I mean come on?! How cute are they?! Oh and they put up with the sweltering heat this evening ... in the sun .... and still was able to smile and have fun. What troopers!

To change it up a little ... and get out of the hot sun. We headed to the shaded area under the tall pine trees that North Carolina has such an abundance of! ;) Ic an't believe this little man is THREE!

And his sister ... one already!  .... man, they grow so fast!

But let's face it ... being an adorable model in the heat isn't always fun and sometimes.... just sometimes, you have a literal meltdown. ;)

I'm sorry but this series was too cute not to share. Big brother was there to comfort sister and ... well, even if she didn't want the kiss on the forehead, he did it anyway. hahaha!

But no good deed goes unnoticed. She snuggled with big brother and my heart just freaking melted. A brother and sisters love cannot be broken. I love it!
