Guys, let me make this clear - I love me my desert. The warm weather, the predictability, the gorgeous cactus .... but man, the North Carolina Falls are AH-MAZING. The color of the leaves, the crisp weather - and oh, these amazing clients!!!! <3 <3 <3

I was super honored when they contacted me for updated portraits. Then they said they wanted to include their pup. THEN they got a puppy while waiting for the session date to arrive. I was like, "YES PLEASE!" HAHAHA!

She contacted me because she and he were celebrating a big number for their anniversary. They wanted to get dolled up, take some portraits and then go out for dinner. I mean, come on ... It's Not Just Puppy Love | Engagement | Salt Lake City, Utah Photographer

Heather and Allie are freaking meant for each other. I am sooooo happy they choose me to be their photographer - even though they live in Utah and I'm in Texas! <3 I flew out to them to photograph their adorable engagement photos with their fur babies. I had soooo much fun.

Unlike they silly and fun loving pups, Heather and Allie needed no prompting for poses. The love they share was all they needed to make magic in front of my camera. At the dog park AND at these amazing Salt Lake Flats! Gah!!! I mean come on!!!

It was windy and it was cold for the salt flats, but they were troopers and the photographs I got of them were PERFECT. The storm clouds really made the portrait ... but I mean, Allie's smile warmed us all up and Heather's laugh made the cold seem to disappear while we were out there.

How gorgeous is this couple?! Young, in love, and expecting their first child. SIGH. So much YES!

She was only a couple months along, but we had to get a few shots in the desert before Dad headed off to work and she headed back home to wait patiently for her love to come home!

These troopers stuck it out with me in the canyon with windy of the windiest WIND ever! haha! In between gusts, these two relaxed and sharing their love in front of my lens... I mean, come on!?

Beating Heart Engagement | Couple | Richmond, VA Photographer

I know I say this all the time ... but I'm going to say it again. Y'all, when this couple asked me to photograph their engagement and wedding ... I was like HELL YES! Especially since she's a close friend of mine and she found the greatest guy to share the rest of their time on earth together with.

With a gothic, Victorian era vibe ... for not only these images ... but for their wedding - Oh I was in!

 

Gorgeous light. Gorgeous couple. And a Cemetery. Yep. Dream. Come. True.

Family land. Family church. Till death do they part!

Of course, for this bride-to-be, a traditional engagement ring wouldn't just do. So a black gem was a unique spin that I loved. She told me the gem's name but I have forgotten. Maybe she'll remind me when she sees this blog post. ;)
