**Flashback to El Paso**

This family will always hold a special place in my heart. Momma was a little nervous about getting portraits done as her littlest is on the Autism spectrum. I told her not to worry, my eldest is on the spectrum and we will get thru this session together.

Little did I know that big sister would come to the rescue. She was amazing! She helped her little sister navigate the location, calm down, interact with the family and all around just feel at home. I couldn't have asked for a better session and assistant to help out!

I love this family so much! Not only do I get to photograph them regularly, but I get to have a blast with them and know that the session is going to be easy-peasy! The kiddos are hilarious and know just what to do. Momma is gorgeous and Dad is easy going -- guys, I cannot wait to meet this new baby!!!! <3 <3

Guys, we've hit November. Where the heck did October go?! I swear it was like here and then gone - like in 3 days. 'Cause that's all I remember! LOL

But, November is here, the days are shorter and everyone is FINALLY wearing sweaters for the cold weather. NC kinda got the news late that it was Fall. Halloween we were sweating our butts off, but then November 1st came and BAM!! Almost freezing. LOL

November also means that you're running out of time for portrait updates for your annual holiday card send out with the three page newsletter. Wait, do people still do that? I guess with today's technology the three page letter has just turned to a photo card since we all know what you had for breakfast just this morning ... amiright? ;)

I'm so happy to be photographing families this year that I haven't seen in YEARS. 1) Because I've been gone for three years and 2) Because taking portraits has become the least of our worries.

Why?

I guess because as the kids get older, we get busy in their lives - sports, hobbies, school, LIFE. I mean, I get it. BELIEVE YOU ME! I get it. LOL

I can always rely on the holidays though. It's when mom or dad looks at the wall and says "Well, heck - the last photo we have of all of us the littlest is a newborn!" Okay, maybe not THAT long ago but I mean - it's been years.

So let's get these last few weeks ramped up and update those portraits! I'd love to be your photographer - plus, we have TONS of fun!

A Gift for Mom | Family | El Paso, TX Photographer

Mom contacted me via Facebook. She was currently deployed and she wanted pictures of her babies. I was like, "Yep! I'm on it!" I mean, hello?! When a deployed momma wants pictures, a deployed momma gets her pictures!

Dad and I set up the location and momma figured out outfits 1000s of miles away. I mean, I couldn't have asked for a more gorgeous day to get this momma her portraits! All participants were a blast to be with and knew momma was going to be proud. Thank you for your service!

 What I love the most about my job ... minus the actual TAKING of the photos, is that my clients refer other clients to me and they're always so amazing! This sweet family was no exception. These little girls made my job soooooo easy. You could feel the love permeating off this family. I mean, wow. I could've photographed them forever!

The Grumps Turn into Smiles by the End | Holiday Minis | El Paso, TX Photographer

Y'all ... sometimes family photos are daunting. Okay - most of the time family photos are VERY daunting. And sometimes - the kids who you think will be cool with the session ... just aren't feeling it. LOL But that's okay. We will roll with it.

 These cuties - I've photographed many times before. They know me. I'm not a stranger. My boys have playdates with them. But they're not immune to the photography blues. LOL But guess what ... we will roll with it.

See? You, your spouse, your child, or you pet just may not be feeling it. But I'll roll with it. I know lots of planning goes into your outfits and what you have planned for your prints. We will roll with it. Nine times out of ten, we will end a grumpy session on a high with lots of smiles and giggles.

Sometimes, we have to call the session and reschedule ... but I've (knock on wood) never had to!

So it'll be okay momma - we'll roll with it. I got your back. Because guess what? I've got grumpasaures too! ;)

It was hot, humid and boring for a toddler hanging out with momma on a photoshoot! <3

When we say the military community is small ... we mean it. Guys - when this family contacted me for holiday minis - I was stoked! The last time I saw them was five years ago and they were welcoming home their daddy from a long deployment!! Look at how big these boys have grown!

These homecoming pictures were FIVE years ago and at Fort Bragg!!! <3 I love when my clients somehow find a way back to me, even with moving across the country!! <3 <3
