Pinned it, Did it: Part 2 | Pinterest Thursday | iPhonography

Well, another week down and unfortunately, I only did one pin! O.M.G. I know right? But I have pinned a lot and am ready to do some of them ... eventually. I also added "My Recent Pins" to the left side of the blog so that you can see all the wonderful, creative, educational, and funny things I pin. I know, you're just dying with excitement aren't you? I know you are. :-)

On to my pins!

This pin is simple. You know why? Because I was in the middle of a cleaning frenzy while trying to make room for my son's big boy bed and I lost track of time and I hadn't figured out what I was going to do with dinner. So what did I do? I went to Pinterest, searched "chicken, easy, crockpot." And this is what I found.

By clicking on the picture, you'll be led to my pin and thus, the recipe from Stick a Fork in it.
According to the blog, the recipe was simple and I didn't even have to stir it!
4-6 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 bottle BBQ sauce
1/4 c vinegar
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
1/4 c brown sugar
1/2 - 1 tsp. garlic powder

mix BBQ sauce with all ingredients listed under it. place chicken in crockpot. pour sauce over it and cook on LOW for 4-6 hours.
And by golly, they were right. Now granted, mine was in there for about 5 hours (way too long, I got side tracked) and I just had little chicken strips ... and well, I used honey smoked BBQ sauce ... but they tasted great. Yes, they were a little dry, but that was because I left it in too long. But here's my picture! I put the strips on top of brown rice and my intent was to have biscuits, but I forgot to heat the oven, so I have wheat bread. LOL Do you see a trend here with forgetfulness?

It's an iPhone photo ... :-)
I'm also going to share an older pin ... it was for the 4th of July, but never shared with you guys!
Inspired by: This pin with no link to it ... so thank you to the person responsible for the idea.
I changed it up a little and did my own thing. Here it is:
Taken on iPhone, framed with PolyFrame app.
And there you have it folks! My two pins for the week! I hope you enjoy these as much as I do and don't forget!
