Adventurous Couple in Love | Couple | El Paso, TX Photographer

 This sweet couple won my Valentine's Dady special I ran and I'm so excited that they did because we went adventuring! They are super outdoorsy and when they said they'd be up for a hike, MAN, I was all over it!!! <3

Not only did we get great images for them, we got a mini workout climbing up and down the rocks. The scenery here in El Paso is to DIE FOR! I mean, people say that this place is for the birds and lovingly call it "Hell Paso." Guys, besides the crazy wind that you have to battle every now and again (and during this session) the scenery is amazing and an outdoorsy person's place to be!

I've mentioned before that I love in-between shots. Sometimes I tell y'all that i'm testing my lighting ... and more than likely I am, but the shots I get while "testing" are some of my favs! <3 the image on the right they were just chatting. About what? I dunno, but it's one of my favorite pictures from the session.

 See that wind?! LOL They were troopers. Thru the wind, through the hiking, thru the giggles -- they rocked their session and I hope they had as much fun as I did!

Spring Love | Couple | Fayetteville, NC Photographer

This couple ... HOLY CUTENESS ALERT! She contacted me because she wanted a few images of her and her boyfriend before he headed overseas. They're high school sweethearts and wow, the love they share for each other just radiated off of them. I left this session happier than when I arrived because of the two of them! <3

They were even willing to brave the frigid spring air (meaning they didn't mind cuddling closer to one another) ;) and they climbed inside a tree/bush thingy for me to get awesome sun flare. haha!

The above shot is from my wonderful Russian made Helio 35mm ... it is seriously my favorite lens to shoot when I have couples in love! You should see this ENGAGEMENT session I shot a few years ago at the same location and with same lens! ;)

Afternoon Fall Showers | Couple | Fayetteville, NC Photographer

 

Do you guys really understand how much I love to hear that clients travel to se ME?! I mean, they'll travel an hour or so to have ME take THIER pictures! What?! I mean, that's a pretty big deal. And I'm supper honored that it happened twice to me last year! 

So the fact that this couple traveled to see me ... the rain clouds above our heads was not going to stop us from having a magical rainy afternoon together. 

 

It had just rained ... like POURED rain for my previous shoot. We were under cover for the previous family ... but when this couple's time came, the clouds opened up and we got some sun ... but most importantly, dry conditions! (it was humid, but we made it work!)

And see? Magic happened?! How gorgeous is this couple? I mean, I really didn't have to do much to have their portraits look amazing. But the fact that their love for each other was apparent, it was not hard to showcase who they are as a couple. 

I love it when a couple can snuggle and be comfortable with each other in front of me. Because seriously, that's when the magic happens in front of the camera. It's all about you being you. That's when you get portraits that make you happy and smile years from now! :)

Prom Portraits with a Twist | Senior | Fayetteville, NC Photographer

When I got the email from this beautiful girl about prom pictures, I was super stoked! Of course I'd photograph y'all before your prom!!

Do you remember your prom pics? In front of a cheesy backdrop, with a photographer who you only talk with for about 10 mins ... the same amount of time you have in front of the camera? Yeah, this is not your typical prom session! I met with them for 30 mins, their mommas were there too. And we just shared some stories and laughs as I photographed them together and exchanging boutonniere and corsage. 

 Momma had to help out a tad ... those boutonnieres are something else! I have issues at weddings too!

But look how gorgeous this corsage is! The flowers were just stunning AND they had glitter! I mean, you can NOT go wrong with glitter!

Even though they don't go to the same school, these two are super cute with one another and have been dating a few months. They met through mutual friends. I asked about going to his prom too and the mommas both looked at me wide eyed. LOL I forget how much money goes into proms LOL! They were like one is enough! haha!

I don't know what is about the above pic, but I stinking love it!

I hope their prom was spectacular ... I mean, they sure looked awesome and had a great plan for their night that included dinner and the dance! I did forget to ask what the theme was! Hopefully they'll get back with me and tell me! I'm such a sucker for themed events! I think that's why I go so overboard with personal parties for my family! ;)

Homerun Engagement | Couple | Fayetteville, NC Photographer

Okay story behind these two ... the last few weddings I've photographed, they've been there. No, not as the bride and groom, but as guests! They are a riot to hang around and keep me laughing all the time. Last time I saw them, before they asked me to be their wedding photographer ... I was at one of their mutual friend's wedding photographing and he caught the garter and she caught the bouquet. (that should've been a hint to know what was going to happen next!)

Well these two love birds are getting married this year and I couldn't be more thrilled to be their engagement photographer AND their wedding photographer. It's going to be a beautiful and fun wedding ... I can already tell because these two are so in love and they have the best secret to a fulfilling marriage ... laughter.

Congratulations you two and I cannot wait to be there this fall!

A Date with Bones | Creative | Fayetteville, N.C. Photographer

My friends and their concepts. I was VERY leery on this concept. All Will said was, "MyKayla and a Skeleton in a cemetery." LOL I kid you not. So, out of curiosity... I went.

And boy am I glad I did. We laughed as we posed "Fred" and Mykayla but we treated it as a "couples session and I love how it turned out. I even whipped out the Lensbaby for a few shots to add to the oddness of the concept.

We ditched "Fred" and just shot the lovely MyKayla. She was a trooper. NC decided to have a chilly Fall morning when we shot this and she was freezing and fighting off a cold. Well thank you girl, you did great!

The above is my favorite shot of the session. Was my first edit and everything! The dark edit with the beautiful flowers ... oh and her eyes?! Come on!?! ;)
