Puppy Love | Pet | Fayetteville, NC Photographer

When I found out that Morgan got a new puppy, and that puppy was this cute... I HAD to photograph them together!! <3 This little "puppy" isn't so little anymore but boy, I had a blast with these two a few weeks ago!!

He was all puppy. He wanted to play and be with his momma. Look at those eyes! I mean come on!!!

And the floppy ears!

I appreciate Morgan taking Baine out for a quick photoshoot before they headed to dinner. Just simply precious the love of a puppy and his momma! <3

And of course ... a little advertising ...

Yeah, it looks like it'd be easy to photograph an animal, but it's everything BUT simple. LOL These are just a few shots of probably 100. And guess what? There's also a little bit of editing magic too!

Book your pet session today! ;)

Puppies Galore | Pet | Fayetteville, N.C. Photographer

PS -- This is 7 photos photoshopped together! ;)
Lemme tell ya about this session ... it was hot, it was muggy, there were mosquitos everywhere and there were 11 dogs... Do I need to say anymore I suppose?

And I loved every moment! I mean look at those faces!!! <3 <3 <3

It's a good thing these pups were spoken for because I totally would've left with at least three of them! They had me running back and forth between the set up and my camera. They had their human momma and brother running all around trying to keep them within arms reach. But oh my gosh! Look at them!!

Each one definitely showed their personalities. Rambunctious ones, shy ones, nosey, curious, playful and loyal. Oh. Em. Gee. They were fabulous!

Human brother let me even photograph him with some of the pups. He usually only allows one other photog (his favorite) photograph him. But He allowed me to snap a few and boy am I glad! Look at that smile!

The human family members kept one of the pups from the litter... They're 'Pandi" so of course I had to take a pic of him and his human brother!

So after sweating our butts off, we had another task at hand ... wrangling all the pups back to the truck. That was exciting and phew! hard work! But I still snapped photos as we did!

My lovely client also snapped a few pics of me working... <3 <3

Have I mentioned how much I love my job???

Big Puppy Love | Pet | Hope Mills, NC Photographer

So these cuties ... I mean, come on!? Look at those faces! They sure were a handful to photograph but they rocked it and I'm so happy they all were able to find loving homes!

Contrary to that black one's ears ... we were having fun. LOL She is so stink in' cute.

This fella was ready for his close up. We propped him in there, he jumped up, I snapped the shot, he ran outta the basket and kissed his modeling days goodbye. LOL

A special thank you to my assistant that day. She was sitting next to the pups the entire time, catching them as their paws slipped off stools or chairs, chasing them down the hallway when the escaped and feeding them treats for a job well done. This litter of pups were definitely keepers!

Rescue | Pets | Fort Bragg NC Photographer

So, I don't have a Pinterest Thursday for y'all ... BUT I did take shots of these guys at the Fort Bragg Animal Shelter. Go check out their Facebook page, HERE.

In the meantime, look at these guys! Just adorable. I need you guys to go adopt one or five and give them a forever home!

Pulling at the heart strings here! You know you need one! (But in all seriousness, these are great animals and each one deserves a family that will love them unconditionally and not abandoned them when it's inconvenient.  Owning a pet is a full time commitment and there's no take backs! You wouldn't give away your child would you?)

Horse Show | Events | Fayetteville, NC Photographer

As I mentioned in a previous blog, I'm playing catch up on my session blogs. This session is a first for me and it was in April. I have been to a steeple chase, I've ridden horses, and I've worked on a ranch. But I've never seen a horse show like this before. It was a wonderful experience that my friend, Ramona, shared with me and wanted me to photograph.

I had no clue what to expect, but she and her horses are gorgeous and made my job easy. She even filled me in on what to expect and how she and the horses were being judged. And the fact that I needed to catch the horse's feet just right — three on the ground and one in the air. It's harder than you think, but I just had the camera on burst and went for it.

It was a fun time and my son even got to sit on a horse. Ramona even allowed him to compete in the junior category, but he wasn't having it. Sitting on the horse was one thing, but walking with one ... no way. Hm, maybe next time.

Enjoy!

Ramona and her two horses were blue ribbon winners all day. She also got second in one event as well.

Western Category. Ramona looked so spiffy!

Daddy and Dokken started out slow by petting the horses, then Ramona was able to get him on the horse. It was awesome to see him conquer his fear like that. He's a cutie pie, a sissy, and my baby boy. I love him! LOL

29 Day Challenge: Day 10

Today's challenge: animal

Well we all know I have plenty to choose from! I chose to shoot my pup that I got recently from the shelter - Pedey. What a cutie and great lil' addition to the family.
