Classic to Indie | Concept | Fayetteville, NC Photographe

Since becoming super busy as a freelance photographer for a few magazines and newspapers, I've had to say no to a lot of my photographer friends' concept shoots. But for the first time this year, I was able to do one with them and I'm super happy to have joined them!

Alisha is a gorgeous momma and model! She had a super cute 50s type outfit on for a few shots ... which were nice and she looked fabulous, but when she switched to her awesome "Target find" Indie jacket, they instantly became my favorite images of her. She just fits that look perfectly!

I mean come on!? LOL light or dark, she looks fantastic! And have I mentioned how much I love historic downtown Fayetteville? People are always telling me that Fayetteville is a horrible place, there's nothing to do, and it's just not appealing. I have to disagree. The history of Fayetteville is so rich and the American pride run deeps within the city's limit. You cannot tell me that there isn't beauty here! You just have to look!

...and find the light! ;)

A Fall Elopement | Wedding | Fayetteville, NC Photographer

Do you guys know what I love more than working in a spur of the moment elopement?  When the bride and show up dressed like models from GQ and Vogue! <3

When I say spur of the moment, I mean it. This sweet bride contacted me and asked to photograph her small wedding the same week she contacted me. I would have normally said that there was no way to squeeze in a wedding session so quickly. But something about her phone call made me want to make it work. Both of their families were going to be in town that weekend and they wanted them to be part of their special day. They contemplated just going to the courthouse to be wed, but she wanted it more special than that. I suggested Clark Park.

I am so glad she trusted me. The fall colors were amazing and the love these two have for one another just made everything even more perfect!

Being a fellow "eloper" (i'm making that a word now), I was so happy to be there for them! They wrote their own vows, tears of joy were shed when the words were spoken, and the excitement of the first kiss as husband and wife was fantastic!

I mean, come on! how cute are they?! This was their hug after exclaiming, "We're married!"

Brother and moms witnessed the joining of two families. Bride and groom got their flowers at Harris Teeter <3 Outfits were to die for. And the memories captured that day, priceless.

Thank you for choosing and trusting me as your photographer! I wish both of you an amazing life together!
